Spring Carlisle – a collector
and classic car swap meet, car corral and auction –
is the third event of the calendar year for Carlisle
Events and marks the beginning of the Carlisle based
show and swap meet season. The event plays host to thousands
of collector and classic automotive enthusiasts, who
travel to the 150-acre Carlisle PA Fairgrounds from
all points of the globe to buy, sell and celebrate all
things automotive. This is a fun-filled weekend the
entire family will enjoy. While exploring the grounds
and 8,100 vending spaces, you will marvel at one of
the largest automotive swap meets in the world. Carlisle
is the place to purchase any of the 2,000 vehicles at
the car corral where you can slip behind the wheel and
get a feel for the vehicle. Even better, you can deal
directly with the car owner to work out the best price.
This is where you can buy, sell and trade with total

A BRIEF REVIEW OF 2013
Great Weather and Strong Crowds Power Annual Event
Spring Carlisle was an overwhelming success. From early-bird day Wednesday to half-price Sunday, Carlisle was bustling with automotive excitement. Weekend highlights included the return of the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow, two-day auction presented by Auctions America, the swap meet, car corral, Manufactures Midway and ARMO Hot Products Showcase. Everyone who came to Carlisle left with something, even if it was just a great memory.
Thursday and Friday hosted the auction where the high selling car was a 1959 Corvette Big Brake Roadster, moving for $148,500. This total includes the buyer's premium. Friday also included the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow competition. Winning for the third year at Carlisle was a team from the Burton Center for Arts and Technology (Salem, Virginia).
Last minute deals were found Saturday and Sunday as the event wrapped. As vendors and guests headed home, many were already planning for a trip back for Fall Carlisle, October 2-6.

With Spring Carlisle opening the season, the 8,100 vending spaces onsite are going to once again be filled with collector car memorabilia, merchandise, literature and more. In addition, the car corral will fill with cars spanning automotive history. To that, the grounds will also be coming together as part of vendor set-up day, making day one of Spring Carlisle a great opportunity to snag a deal before the masses converge on Carlisle for the first time this year.
Early Bird Wednesday will run from sun up to sun down and welcome a nonstop slew of vendors and enthusiast from the world over, all preparing for one of the best collector car events in the world, Spring Carlisle. Standard gate admission and parking apply, but the nature of the day allows for more shopping space, a more personal interaction with vendors as well as getting a true lay of the land for the remaining event days. This day also serves as a preview day for the two-day auction taking place at the nearby Carlisle Expo Center and presented by Auctions America.

| HOT RODDERS OF TOMORROW HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Spring Carlisle to Host 2013 Northeast Competition
The Hot Rodders of Tomorrow is a high school level engine build competition. Students compete for time and accuracy as they tear down an engine and rebuild it. Schools in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions are eligible to compete in the regional battle. the National Finals in 2013 will be held at the annual PRI convention. This is a great program with a lot of automotive industry support.
All rounds of competition will take place on Friday of Spring Carlisle.

The 2012 swap meet offered anything and everything an automotive enthusiast could want. Interested vendors for 2013 Spring Carlisle must be selling automotive merchandise or at least an 80/20% mix. In addition, no T-shirts, clothing, wax, tools, diecast, models or food will be accepted. Spaces are approximately 10’frontage x 30’depth and rent for $95 per outside space for the entire event. | G. Gordon Liddy to Attend Spring Carlisle Auction
Former Talk Show Host and Politician to Auction Two Bikes
G. Gordon Liddy is a name that many will recognize from political circles. He's infamous for his role in the Watergate scandal of 1972 and also played a key role in talk radio for more than 20 years. What has Liddy coming to Carlisle, however; are a pair of motorcycles that he won as part of the TV program Fear Factor. Liddy will consign the bikes for auction and will be onsite to see it happen.
The bikes were originally built by Metropolitan Chopper ahd have a military theme to them. Both have been safely stored near Carlisle for the past few months and will be on display for preview beginning Wednesday (4/24). The bikes are slated to run on Friday.

Deal Directly With the Owner for a Unique Buying Experience
The car corral is where individuals offer vehicles only (no parts, etc) for sale. Find classic to late-model vehicles in all varieties of make, model and condition. You can shop, compare and make the deal directly with the owner. Notary services including temporary tags are available right in the car corral. All vehicles in the corral must be for sale, in running condition and cannot be displayed on trailers. Unloading of vehicles on grounds is prohibited after Wednesday. A non-denominational worship service is held at 9 a.m. Sunday morning in the Grandstand.
We welcome you to join us for the service led by the Salvation Army and our partners-in-faith. Coffee and donuts available.
