America’s Automotive Hometown is Preparing for Spring

Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet

Thursday, April 10, 2008

CARLISLE, PA – The Carlisle Events group has been preparing for the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Swap Meet since May of last year. April 23rd-27th will mark the 31st year of this annual gathering, the largest of its kind. Spring Carlisle has become more than a destination for automotive enthusiasts and collector car hobbyists; many people have made this a family getaway. This is because the annual event will not only contain all the great items guests have come to expect but like all events at the Carlisle, PA Fairgrounds, there are weekend activities that extend to the whole family.

Spring Carlisle is the traditional kick-off event for the East Coast car show season. This event will attract over 120,000 people who are ready to celebrate the automotive hobby America has grown to love. With all 82-acres of the Carlisle Fairgrounds filled with vendor spaces that stock original, NOS and reproduction parts, accessories, automotive literature, memorabilia and more, there is a lot of ground to cover. That includes the world-famous Carlisle Car Corral, where 1,800 collector cars and trucks from all eras and in all conditions and price will be available for sale.

The Spring Carlisle event is similar to a small city when it comes to services offered. Notary, title, and vehicle shipping are conveniently located on-grounds. In addition, everything you need to finance, insure, accessorize, or repair your dream car is only steps away.

The third annual Spring Carlisle Auction will run simultaneously to the event on the evening of Friday April 25th and Saturday April 26th at the Carlisle Expo Center which is directly adjacent to the Fairgrounds. The Carlisle Auction business is setting new standards as a leader in the collector car market. From the quality selection process to the recent announcement to waive consignment fees, Carlisle Auctions is known for connecting customers with the cars.

Admission is $9 daily Wednesday through Saturday and $5 on Sunday, or come all five days for only $30.
