World Champion Frisbee Dogs Complement Family Fun at Bike Fest

Rescues - Easy Rider and Harley Davidson to Perform with Disc-Connected K9's

The Carlisle Bike Fest at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds takes place July 22-24 and will offer a multitude of options for attendees in 2011. The event will showcase live music, the hottest trends in the motorcycle industry, special guests, thousands of bikes and fun for the entire family.


As part of the family entertainment, Disc-Connected K9’s will be on site with their two World Champion Frisbee Dogs; Harley Davidson and Easy Rider. In having two World Champion Dogs on site, Disc-Connected K9’s is the only traveling show of its kind with such top notch “talent” on its roster. Making these dogs even more special is the fact that they are rescues trained (or re-trained) to do what they do best - run, play and entertain. Disc-Connected became Harley’s 7th home while Easy Rider was moving into his 4th home. Both animals now have a “forever” home with the Disc-Connected family.


"The greatest fulfillment I have had in my life is being able to perform with my dogs all over the world demonstrating to people what you can do with these rescued dogs if you just give them a second chance in life,” noted owner and trainer Lawrence Frederick. “They will undoubtedly return the appreciation and love 100 fold."


Coming to Carlisle is a homecoming of sorts for Frederick as well. Frederick, a current Florida resident, spent his early teen years in the Carlisle/Shippensburg area as his mom worked for a local company. "Having lived in the region from the age of 10-14, it is wonderful to come back and see how the area has grown and to catch up with old friends and family,” said Frederick. He added that “since some of my old classmates and friends weren't able to see us when we were here in 2009 or witness firsthand what a quality event the Carlisle Bike Fest is, I’m hoping that a lot of them will be able to catch up with us in 2011."


With more than 35,000 bike enthusiasts on site and free bike parking, many will step off their rides into the middle of an open air experience like no other. Carlisle Bike Fest, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier motorcycle event, is crafted with the rider in mind.
