CARLISLE’S GOT STYLE…PERFORMANCE & STYLE, THAT IS

Monday, February 19, 2007

CARLISLE, Pa. – Carlisle Performance & Style returns to the Carlisle Fairgrounds on May 4-6, 2007. It’s Carlisle’s first specialty show of the season and it will be special. Performance & Style is designed to introduce the latest trends in customization, tuning and in-car entertainment to enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors will see show-quality compacts, modified trucks, SUVs and high-end luxury sedans, awesome tuner cars, donks, resto-mod muscle, sleek sport bikes and much, much more. Some of the great entertainment you’ll see at Performance & Style are listed below.

Meet Neil Tjin on one of the Tjin Edition Tour stops – Neil Tjin is one of the most widely known custom compact builders in the nation; he has chosen Carlisle Performance & Style to be a stop on the Tjin Edition Tour. At the show you’ll get a first-hand look at the Tjin Edition Honda Fit, Nissan Skyline and Pontiac Solstice that were all on display at the 2006 SEMA show and take part in some interactive games that Neil himself is composing.

Cool Cars Hydraulic Show – The team from Cool Cars will be on hand showing off the best hoppers in the country. You’ll see cars get all four wheels off the ground, stand on their bumpers, roll over and much more…this is a show you won’t want to miss!

Magazine Alley - A new aspect to the show will be Magazine Alley. This will be a building full of cars you’ve seen gracing the pages of your favorite magazines. Most people don’t get to see the magazine cars up close and personal, so we plan to bring them to center stage and show you what it takes to make it into the pages of the magazines.

ICE House - We plan to continue the ICE House, if you missed the ICE House last year you missed the “coolest” display of In Car Entertainment around. We had cars and SUVs with 10, 40 and even 70+ TVs, lights everywhere. These were some of the nicest rides you could lay eyes on. This year if you want to be considered for the ICE House please contact us early as the spots are limited.

DUB Magazine – The original automotive lifestyles magazine will be joining fans and show attendees at the May 4-6 event. The popular west coast based magazine will be bring four of its show cars and the DUB big rig. Details on the cars are still being worked out. Keep an eye on our web site for updates. It’s west coast hip and not-to-be-missed.

Drift Expo – For the first time ever, Carlisle Events will bring you a drifting demo. Local and national drifters will be on hand to show you what this action-packed sliding craze is all about.

Scion Meet – Calling all Scion owners… Join Scion Evolution and Carlisle at the show as we try to gather the most Scions in one place – ever! Scion Evolution is one of the largest Scion Clubs with members all across the world. You do not need to be a member of Scion Evolution to partake in the Scion Meet, but for more information on Scion Evolution check them out online at www.scionevolution.org.

NICOfest - Join NICO (Nissan Infiniti Car Owners) at Carlisle Performance & Style as we host NICOfest. NICO travels to varies shows throughout the world hosting mini events inside larger events and this year Performance & Style will be the host of their spring meet. You'll see a wide range of makes and models from current years to cars you didn't even know about. If you have a Nissan, Infiniti or Datsun look for the NICOfest online registration form to guarantee your spot on the show field. For more information on NICO check them out at www.nicoclub.com.

dB Drag Racing is the premier format for SPL competitions. dB Drags pose two vehicles head-to-head to see who has the loudest stereo. The lights and excitement associated with dB Drag Racing make this as enjoyable to watch as it is to participate.

Bass Race is a head-to-head stereo competition where competitors play commercially available music for 30 seconds (no burps, test tones, burned cd’s or sine waves). The competitor is given an average SPL score. This score places the competitor in 1 of 6 classes. The class is determined by score - classes are NOT determined by equipment, vehicle, competitor status, installation or manufacturer. Competitors compete against each other with similar scores. Bass Race is fun for first time competitors and street beaters because it doesn’t matter if you have 1 or 100 speakers; you are classed by your score making it fun, entertaining, and most of all fair. StarBoyz - The StarBoyz stunt riders have performed at the car and bike shows for the past few years, and now you get to see them pull off extreme tricks at P&S. Don't miss their many shows in front of the stage. The performers, Kevin Marino and Scott Caraboolad of Akron, OH, will execute wheelies, stoppies and other crazy feats that you shouldn't try at home. These guys got their start on the streets and roads of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. They soon became famous for their daredevil acts and took their craft to more legitimate and legal venues like Carlisle!! Check out the StarBoyz website, www.starboyz.com

Hotel Carlisle After Party – back by popular demand. The Saturday Night After Party at Hotel Carlisle was at near capacity with those in attendance dancing, meeting up with friends and having a great time. If you haven’t booked your rooms for the show, make sure to check out Hotel Carlisle so you can safely party where you stay. Hotel Carlisle will have live bands, drinks and finger food for you to enjoy after a long day at the show.
