Carlisle Events Heads West

Central Pennsylvania Based Company to Operate Two Auburn, Indiana Events

In January of 2011, Carlisle Events and Auctions America by RM formed a business partnership designed to benefit both parties. The partnership has been churning since the announcement and the initial payoff will occur in the coming weeks as Spring Carlisle (April 27-May 1) and Auburn Spring (May 13-15) takes place at their respective locations.


The base of the agreement sees Auctions America by RM, a company founded in 2010 and a subsidiary of RM Auctions taking control of and expanding the Spring and Fall Carlisle auction dates at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. In turn, Carlisle Events, a 35+ year old company, will operate and enhance the swap meet and car corral components at the Auburn Spring and Fall dates, held annually at the Auburn Auction Park in Auburn, Indiana.


At both Carlisle and Auburn, attendees and vendors alike can take part in the swap meet and car corral. Space is available for both, with Carlisle Events taking reservations daily. The Car Corral is THE most convenient way to buy or sell a car. Unlike an online auction site, the buyer and seller work face to face with each other. You can shop and compare on the grounds, sit in the car, test drive the ride, kick the tires and more. Further, to make the selling process even simpler, we’ll bring the convenience to you with notary services including temporary tags available right in the car corral.


In addition to the auction and car corral, parts and accessories are available daily as part of the swap meet. Whether it’s that hard to find part to complete your restoration project or an aftermarket piece intended to enhance your machine, the swap meet is a true buyer’s treasure chest.

Carlisle Events, founded in 1974 by friends Bill and Chip Miller (no relation) is one of the premier companies dedicated solely to the promotion and enhancement of the automotive industry. Annually, 10 uniquely different events are held at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. The diverse offerings literally provide something for everyone, no matter their age, race or gender.
