Spring Vending Sold Out For 2011
New Partnership with Auctions America by RM Provides Additional Options
Wednesday, April 20, 2011
For generations, Spring Carlisle at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds has been an annual tradition to dust off the wagon and walk the 150-acre facility in search for the best deal on parts, accessories and memorabilia. Whether you‘re looking for something specific in the swap meet or itching to enjoy a weekend immersed in the Car Corral, Spring Carlisle delivers.
With Spring Carlisle days away Carlisle Events once again anticipates a jam-packed grounds filled with collector, classic and custom car and truck enthusiasts eager to attend the legendary swap meet, car corral and collector car auction.
Once on grounds, car lovers traveling from near and far are able to enjoy an automotive event that is second to none. Over 8,100 vending spaces are set to be filled to capacity including more than 2,000 vehicles of all makes, models and prices for sale in the car corral.
It’s anticipated that Spring Carlisle will once again be a record-setting event with more overall attendance than in past years. The high attendance of Spring Carlisle in 2010 combined with an additional auction day due in part to brand new partnership with Auctions America by RM are telling signs of the continued passion in the collector car hobby for well-run, live events.
For late model restorations, performance aftermarket parts are available in the Manufacturers Midway along with the 14th annual Automotive Restoration Market Organization (ARMO) New Products Showcase.
In addition to all of the shopping during the daytime, the buying and selling excitement continues on Thursday, Friday and now Saturday evenings with the 6th edition of the Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction presented by Auctions America by RM, a subsidiary of RM Auctions – the world’s largest collector car auction house. The sale will be held at the Carlisle Expo Center, just one block outside of Gate 3. The 2011 Spring Carlisle Auction is expected to match, if not exceed its 2010 numbers with a roster of 250-300 vehicles crossing the auction podium. For those still wanting to get in on the action, last minute consignments are accepted on a first come first served during the week of the event due to expanding the auction to three days.
"To approach sell out numbers for Spring Carlisle and the Spring Carlisle Auction is very exciting,” noted Carlisle Events Co-Owner and Partner Lance Miller. “With a rebounding economy, we anticipate this trend to continue with our specialty events showing an increase in pre-registration of show vehicles. If you have not been to Carlisle in recent years or would like to experience Carlisle for the first time, 2011 is expected to be a stellar season."
Carlisle Events Partner Bill Miller III adds that “one of the aspects of all of the Carlisle Auctions that makes us stand out is the interest and amount of people that we draw because of the attendance at the shows taking place just blocks away at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Whether it’s the auction or events on the grounds itself, we know that over 100,000 die-hard car enthusiasts will be on hand throughout the weekend. Now, they’ll have a chance to see all of the classic and collector cars and trucks that will be crossing the auction block."
“We’re pleased with the comprehensive offering of automobiles assembled for our first Carlisle auction, and there’s still time for collectors to join the roster and consign their motor cars to the sale,” states Donnie Gould, President, Auctions America by RM.
