Carlisle All-Truck Nationals 2009: August 7-9 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds
One of the largest specialty, off-road and collector truck oriented events in the world
Friday, July 31, 2009
The 2009 Carlisle All-Truck Nationals is one of the largest specialty, off-road and collector truck oriented events in the world. Representing all aspects of the collector truck hobby will be over 2,000 trucks, everything from Mini Trucks with the frames dragging the street to Monster Trucks crushing tiny compact cars below.
In an uncertain economy, many people are looking for inexpensive things for the entire family that are close to home. Carlisle Events is trying to give families that option at this year’s All-Truck Nationals, with admission cost of only $10 and kids under-12 free. One of the standard favorites for the entire family at the All-Truck Nationals is the monster truck shows and rides. Trucks, The Virginia Giant and Bad News, from the Monster Jam circuit will be at the All-Truck Nationals putting on shows and giving rides to families throughout the weekend. New to this year’s All-Truck Nationals will be Megasaurus – a fire-breathing, car eating transformer. Megasaurus will be performing on Friday and Saturday, in conjunction with the monster truck shows. Also, new this year will be an antique fire truck display. Two local fire engines from Boiling Springs and Carlisle fire companies will be on-display inside of Building T, along with other highlight invitational trucks.
You can’t miss monster trucks, you can’t miss fire engines and you certainly can’t miss big rigs! Semis, 18-wheelers or long haulers, whatever your name for the trucks that keep America moving, they will once again be at the Carlisle All-Truck Nationals for the Carlisle Show and Shine. Special guests for this year’s Carlisle Big Rig Show N’ Shine will be Outcast Kustoms from TV’s Trick My Truck on CMT. Kelvin Locklear and his crew roll out some of the most amazing custom big rigs in the industry. Locklear and his chromed out long haulers will at the All-Truck Nationals all weekend to meet with fans.
The Trick My Truck crew won’t be the only national TV celebrity making their way to Carlisle for the All-Truck Nationals. Brian Fisher a Central Pennsylvania native and star of TV’s Fisher ATV World on Outdoor Channel will make his first appearance to the Carlisle All-Truck Nationals to promote the show, meet with fans and display some of his most “Real” trucks and ATVs.
In addition to the action of the monster truck shows for the entire family, Megasaurus, vintage fire engines, one-of-a-kind big rigs and TV celebrities will be a schedule full of truck thrills. Thrills from the famous Carlisle Burnout and Beauty contest, the Carlisle Truck Tug-O-War, rock climbing exhibitions, off-road time trials and Dialed Action Sports BMX Shows.
