Carlisle Auctions Announced for 2009
Fall and Spring Auctions moved to Thursday and Friday nights, No Consignment and All-Original Hour back in 2009
Wednesday, February 11, 2009
Carlisle, PA – Carlisle Events recently announced that the Fall and Spring Auctions will be moved to Thursday and Friday Nights of the Spring and Fall Carlisle Collector Swap Meet and Corral; the All-Corvette Auction held during Corvettes at Carlisle will be hosted on Friday night. The auctions were previously held on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This change was made to accommodate auction buyers and sellers by allowing them the opportunity to enjoy all of the automotive excitement happening on the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds during the day and also to add to the excitement and atmosphere that comes with an evening auction. Carlisle Auctions Senior Manager Bill Miller III said, “One of the aspects of all of the Carlisle Auctions that makes us stand out is the interest and amount of people that we draw because of the attendance at the shows taking place just two blocks away at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Whether it is the Spring, Corvette or Fall auction, you know that over 60,000 die-hard car enthusiasts will be on hand throughout the weekend and will now have the chance to see all of the classic and collector cars and trucks that will be crossing the auction block.”
2009 will see the return of some incentives and highlights offered by Carlisle Auctions in 2008. The No Consignment Fee offering will be back for general consignments. This is an unbeatable and incredibly fair offer that can only be found at Carlisle. The idea is simple; if your car does not sell, you don’t have to pay a consignment fee. It would be awfully nice if everything in life made that much sense! The other return for 2009 is the All-Original Hour. Introduced at the Fall Carlisle Auction held in October of 2008, the All-Original Hour was a huge success with a sell rate of over 60%. The 2008 success has rolled into 2009 with consignment spots already being filled for the Spring Carlisle Auction, according to Carlisle Events. Despite the tough American economy, early indicators show that the collector car market will be strong and Carlisle Auctions will lead the way, making the auction experience fair, fun and profitable for everyone.
The Carlisle Spring and Fall Auctions will both be entering their fourth years in 2009 and take place in conjunction with the enormous swap meets and car corrals. 2009 will be the third year for the All-Corvette Auction held during Corvettes at Carlisle, the largest all-Corvette event in the world.
