Club Games – gather your club members, friends or anyone that wants to play! We’ll have games like Volley Ball, Tug-o-War, and Dodgeball, so get ready to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

Awards Parade – all of the other Carlisle shows have a winner circle and winner’s parade, now P&S will too. How it works at P&S…at 2:30pm the cars in the winner’s circle will parade past the stage, have their name read over the P.A. system, get their picture taken, and receive their award at that time. It is great to watch and participate in because it shows all the hard work that goes into having a winning car.

Carlisle Events Elite will be a coveted award that only 10 vehicles will be selected for at each participating show. In the inaugural year, 2008, two shows will offer the Carlisle Events Elite honor – Performance & Style [May 9-11] and Import-Kit/Replicar Nationals [May 16-18].

Carlisle Events Elite will be 10 vehicles selected by a committee formed by the Event Manager of the show. The group will include staff, special guests and car lovers who will traverse the showfield to select their favorite vehicle. There is no formal judging; this is a subjective selection of the vehicles that the committee enjoys.

Once you are selected as a Carlisle Events Elite you will be a part of the ‘Elite club’ forever. You will receive a small custom decal for your car, a specially designed award, a T-shirt, a hat and Elite status pictures on our website in our photo gallery. And the best of all, we will put you and your ride center stage to give a short interview to talk about the work that has been performed and history of the car. That interview will be recorded and downloadable from our website.

At Performance & Style the Carlisle Events Elite will be selected on Friday. The cars will be selected and interviews will be conducted all on Friday – make sure you get to the show early on Friday to be one of the first 10 members into our Elite club.

Meet Jason Ellis – professional skateboarder, Sirius Satellite Radio DJ and now amateur drifter. Ellis will be on hand Saturday and Sunday to show off his drifting skills and meet & greet fans.

Meet Neil Tjin – legendary car builder and Editor of HCI Magazine. If you missed the Tjin Edition Tour in 2007, you will not want to miss his display in 2008. Check him out all weekend long inside building T.

Traffic Flow at Performance & Style is a little different than the other Carlisle Events Specialty Shows. We split traffic into two groups, Pre-registered Participants and Registering Day of Event Participants. The reason we split the two groups is to make sure the lines and traffic flow into the Fairgrounds is as smooth as possible and that you experience as little traffic as possible. Please help us keep traffic moving!

Each year we have the NCCA judge a select amount of vehicles and this year it is even more elite as we are limiting it to the first 50 to register. P&S will be a double point event and limiting the number is in order to have all the vehicles indoors. The main NCCA building, our Building T, is going to transform into “Club Carlisle” with lights, music and a live DJ throughout the weekend. That’s right, participants asked for it and for a small nominal fee or volunteer time you’ll get the track time you’ve always wanted. Use it to drift or autocross, as long as you pass inspection we just ask you be safe and have fun.

• RCI Racing - Featuring Jason Ellis

dB Drag Racing is the premier format for SPL competitions and with its return in 2007 being a success, we plan to bring it back aging in 2008. dB Drags pose two vehicles head-to-head to see who has the loudest stereo. The lights and excitement associated with dB Drag Racing make this as enjoyable to watch as it is to participate.

Bass Race was introduced to P&S 2007 and we will continue to bring the excitement in 2008. Bass Race is a head-to-head stereo competition where competitors play commercially available music for 30 seconds (no burps, test tones, burned cd's or sine waves). The competitor is given an average SPL score. This score places the competitor in 1 of 6 classes. The class is determined by score - classes are NOT determined by equipment, vehicle, competitor status, installation or manufacturer. Competitors compete against each other with similar scores. Bass Race is fun for first time competitors and street beaters because it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 100 speakers; you are classed by your score making it fun, entertaining, and most of all fair.

Attention mother's - since Performance & Style falls on Mother’s Day this year, on Sunday we would like to present all mothers in attendance with a carnation. Just before the awards start at the stage on Sunday, approximately 2pm, we would like to invite all mothers’ on grounds to come up and receive their flower as our thanks for being at the show on their special day.

StarBoyz, the motorcycle stunt team from Ohio, will return for the 2008 edition of P&S. They have new bike, new tricks and promised a couple surprises for everyone. They will be performing in front of the grandstands all three days.

The Nissan Infiniti Car Owners had their first Carlisle Performance & Style experience in 2007 and loved every minute and cannot wait to get here in 2008! NICO travels to varies shows throughout the world hosting mini events inside larger events and Performance & Style will now be the host of their spring meet. You'll see a wide range of makes and models from current years to cars you didn't even know about. If you have a Nissan, Infiniti or Datsun you won’t want to miss this! VIP Lane is a new concept for P&S 2008. I’d like to get a group of high-end cars for a rare display that we’ll literally “roll out the red carpet” to tie the VIP theme together. The ICE House is always the place to be at the show and this year we have a few tricks up our sleeves that should make the third year the best one yet. If you missed the ICE House you missed the “coolest” display of In Car Entertainment around. We had cars and SUVs with 100’s of TVs and lights everywhere. No Carlisle show would be complete without the burnout contest. Smoke’em till they pop and then keep going to win the crowd over. Whether you’re in the grandstand watching or in the car competing for the $500 cash prize from Mobile Spec Audio this is a crowd favorite you won’t want to miss.

The Carlisle shows are always exciting and for the 2008 season we’re turning up the heat with the Activities Corner! Try your rodeo skills on the Mechanical Bull or test your pitching arm to dunk the competition in the Dunk Tank. The Mechanical Bull and Dunk Tank will be located next to the Guest Services booth. All proceeds from the Dunk Tank go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
